On August 24, 2026, the migration of the Pécs Diocesan Archives’ E-Archive research service will begin. Starting September 1, 2026, new researcher registrations can be completed on the matricula.hu website (the joint e-research platform for Hungarian ecclesiastical archives), and active researcher accounts will continue to function there. Researchers who registered on the Pécs Diocesan Archives E-Archive website and subscribed to the service prior to August 24, 2026, will still be able to log in and conduct research on the https://archivum. pecsiegyhazmegye.hu/ to log in and conduct research, but once their user accounts expire, they will only be able to register for a new subscription period on the matricula.hu platform starting September 1.

New registrations and associated subscriptions will not be available between August 24 and 31, 2026.

This change does not affect the content, structure, usage, or capabilities of the e-research service; only the platform on which it operates is changing.

The matricula.hu platform also provides access to the online content of several church archives (https://matricula.hu/ekutatohelyek). You only need to register once; after that, the services of the individual archives are accessible with the appropriate subscriptions.
